Anti-Obesity Activity of Herbal Formulation

Abstract

Objective: The present study was designed to prepare, characterize, and assess the anti-obesity potential of a novel polyherbal formulation (PHF) consisting of Green Tea Extract (Camellia sinensis), Garcinia cambogia fruit rind extract, Guggul (Commiphora wightii) oleo-gum resin, and Triphala — a classical Ayurvedic blend of Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica, and Emblica officinalis — using a high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity model in Wistar rats.
