Abstract

This scholarly article elaborates on the creation and execution of a novel environmental monitoring system that exploits the Internet of Things (IoT) framework. The setup combines an Arduino UNO microcontroller, ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, and Node MCU development board to supervise essential environmental variables like temperature, humidity, and gas concentrations. For temperature and humidity measurements, the DHT11 sensor is utilized, while the MQ-2 sensor is employed to identify various gases such as CO2. The information captured by these sensors is exhibited on an LCD display and can be accessed through a mobile application connected to the IoT network. By utilizing Embedded C language and Arduino IDE, the system's deployment enables efficient data management and instantaneous communication. The study underscores the potential utility of this system in industrial environments, particularly in scenarios where continuous environmental monitoring is imperative to ensure adherence to safety and health regulations.
