Abstract

This review paper provides a definitive paradigm integration for Dr. Nitnem Singh Sodhi's two overarching contributions to neuro-psychology: the Unimind Metamodel and the Unibrain Theory. First articulated in 2020, these theories independently map the functional cognitive software and the structural biological hardware of the human mind. The Unibrain Theory models the physical central nervous system as an electrochemical infinite-state automaton built upon dendritic universal logic gates and combinational circuits, which undergoes structural reduction during sleep. The Unimind Metamodel defines cognition as a dynamic ecosystem of computational algorithms - specifically pattern recognition, meaning identification, and emotional execution - operating upon a multi-dimensional, predictive representational map of reality. This review paper comprehensively compiles empirical research spanning dendritic biophysics, neural population dynamics, cognitive mapping, predictive processing, neuromodulation, and computational psychiatry, and more, to systematically evaluate every foundational post ulate of Dr. Sodhi's framework. Drawing exclusively on literature indexed in the U.S. National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) PubMed database, the review demonstrates that contemporary neuroscience has independently converged upon the core architectural principles proposed in 2020, and it outlines the resulting implications for clinical psychiatry and neuromorphic artificial intelligence.
