Abstract

Electrical servo systems are widely used in various applications, including robotics, automated factories, and electrical vehicles. Traditional relay feedback methods have been employed in the control of mechatronic servo systems due to their simplicity and robustness. In this approach, a relay is utilized to compare the system output with a desired reference value, and the system switches between two control actions based on the comparison result. This establishes the stability conditions for the concurrent relay-PID control system and suggests a tuning approach based on the Ziegler-Nichols method. Finally, the paper discusses literature survey based on various research work and analyze some open research issues and future directions in relay feedback methods for mechatronic servo systems, such as the need for more efficient method using other advance controller.
